As per the usual, I enjoyed this book. I loved Lacey’s writing style from Clara’s point of view. It was such a quick and easy read for me. This book takes place about a year later from the first book, Meet Clara Andrews. Clara is so excited to be going on a vacation with Oliver to Mexico and of course, to finally meet his parents from America. We start off with Clara at work, trying to wrap her days leading up to her vacation. She wants to go shopping before her trip and cannot help herself with all her purchases, including the impulsive self-tanner she buys. When she starts prepping herself for vacation, she applies the self-tanner, but being Clara, doesn’t read the instructions. and turns her self into a stripped, orange mess. The toe polish is horrendous. The way Lacey just describes everything is hysterical. She’s trying hard to become someone that Oliver’s parents can see him with for the rest of his life. She wants them to like her. But of course,Murphy’s law comes into effect when they get to the airport and their first class tickets are downgraded to coach. And it seems it just gets progressively worse for wear from there on out. Oliver’s mom, Janie, doesn’t take a liking to Clara as much. Clara tried to be nice and book them both a massage at the hotel so they can bond. However, Janie has other ideas. She ends up booking Clara a FULL body wax. It was absolutely hysterical and horrifying at the same time. Finally, Clara meets a friend at the bar. This girl is quite sympathetic to Clara’s plight with her boyfriend’s mother. Oliver comes up to meet them and takes an instant dislike to Clara’s new friend. Clara doesn’t understand why but Oliver also refuses to elaborate. It would have been kind of him to tell her that it’s his crazy ex-girlfriend. She is there with her husband and takes Clara shopping for all these really nice, expensive things. She wants to get Clara to like her and try and break her and Oliver up. It wasn’t quite obvious at first, but there was some foreshadowing that Lacey presented the reader with that made you want to keep reading. I really felt for Clara. She finds Oliver and her new friend in the bar together. Clara totally freaks out and leaves her hotel. She is convinced that this is the end of her and Oliver. She finds another hotel to calm down in for the night. She is by herself in a foreign country and she thinks she just broke up with her boyfriend. I think Clara can be a little overdramatic, but this is her story. Eventually, Janie finds her. She convinces Clara to come back to their hotel to talk to Oliver. More Drama happens once Clara reaches the Hotel. She is able to finally confront Oliver about everything and why he was acting the way he was. They eventually make up and head back to England after their holiday. The ending is honestly my favorite part. I was totally expecting it to come up but I had no idea when Lacey would get around to it. When I read this, I said to my husband, “Finally!” and he gave me this look of confusion. And I said, “The book.” Still having no idea what I was talking about, he humored me anyways. I know I haven’t completed the series yet. But I am in the process of other reviews and reading other novels, but honestly I can’t wait to read Meet Clara Morgan and the rest of Clara’s adventures. It makes me smile and my heart happy every time I read about Clara and Oliver. They are just something else.

Lacey did it again. This is a wonderful read. After reading the 1St chapter I could not put it down. This book has a lot of laughs in it. I definitely recommend this book.

Telling, not showing.Shallow characters.Everyone is drinking or drunk.Weak scenarios.I abandoned this attempt for the above reasons.

this book made me fall in-love with Mexico! The summer feel that relaxes your mind and body is what i basically need right now. Plus, the book-ending proposal of Oliver made me thought, at first, that he was really cheating this time. Oh, i love this series so much! On to the next book <3

Sadly, not my cuppa. But it just might be yours!

I am loving these books!! I cannot wait to read the next one!! Clara has to be one of my most favorite literary characters.

Good beach book.

it's not what I was expecting. It's a very busy read. It just wasn't my kind of read.
