First half of this book was awful, the middle becomes tolerable, the last half blows your minds.In the beginning, I couldn't stand Brittani as person in the book(She was like Fifty Shades main girl annoying). Between having the first few chapters oversaturated with drooling over men's appearances, and, at times, it felt like Brittani was the problem herself or escalated the situation by overreacting. (Not every situation was Brittani, Milos definitely had alot of red flags.)Midway in, it just felt like both parties were mentally unstable and causing the other to worsen as their state got worse. And you just really wanted both them to get help.Then the can of worms opens. And its absolutely insane and almost unbelieve if it hadn't made so much sense. And worth reading to find out yourself.(and honestly you need the full story to understand it all)As annoying as it started, it definitely was an interesting read.

Cons:This book in incredibly poorly written. It needed a stronger editor's hand.Pros:After the first few chapters I didn't care, and read the entire thing in one night. I started watching Brittani's videos with her engagement reveal, and am shocked that everything in this book happened to her. It is relatable and scary and I just want to give her a hug and tell her that there are decent people in the world.

If I had to give one word to describe this book it would be INTENSE.I received this book today and finished it a couple hours after starting it. Why you may ask? Because I could not put it down. Literally not once did I put it down. First let's start with the writing. I felt like Brittani was sitting across from me and telling me this story herself. The writing was personable and 100% hers. I loved the added humor even when humor didn't seem needed. I loved how real everything was when it came to her morals and personal choices. I've read a couple reviews stating that there is too much "rambling" but that just made me love the book even more.I loved everything about it.Now let's talk about the story... WOAH. Honestly, I was expecting this story to end how a lot of domestic abuse relationship stories do (physical abuse, the abused finds the way out, gets police involved, and abuser is captured. OR in a more tragic case, someone dies before the abuser gets caught) Now I'm not saying that's how every story goes by any means, I just seem to see many stories like that. This ending was very unexpected but made SO MUCH SENSE after Brittani slowly reveals things to you throughout the book. I found myself getting angry, upset, and physically scoffing at Milos throughout the book.There was one quote that really hit hard with me and it was when Brittani's mom said "You shouldn't have to beg for someone to love you." I'm not sure if it was exactly worded that way but I 1000% agreed. This book is a perfect example of an abusive relationship. This book shows the perfect signs to look for in an abusive relationship.I've been watching Brittani's Youtube videos since I was in middle school (I'm 20 now), I have even seen the videos that included the sociopath himself. I NEVER would have guessed what was going on behind the camera. This story just shows that not everything is what it seems and if you are in an abusive relationship or seeing signs of one: GET OUT.Thank you Brittani for sharing your story with us. You are an incredibly strong human being and your adorable son is SO lucky to have such a strong mother to look up to.

First of all, I loved her story and I found Brittani's enduring devotion to her son to be nothing but inspiring. I really think this book deserved an editor, because it's obvious that an author/trained writer did not write this, distracting me from the immersion into her interesting story. I felt as if I was reading an email sent by a friend that was along the lines of, "You'll NEVER guess what happened to me!"Which I didn't...not at all. But I would have loved to have experienced her story through the prose of someone more experienced. Not through a ghost writer, just with the collective efforts of Taylor and a team of editors and publishers.

I can’t remember when Brittani’s videos showed up in my recommended on youtube. I guess it was the video where she announced that she had a boyfriend she met at a coffee shop. I watched, even when I found her puns annoying. She was genuinely a nice person. After reading this book it should show everyone, you have no clue what celebrities or online personalities are living. They show what they want.I enjoyed the book and thought she did a good job telling her life of a sucky love story. I won’t spoil anything but I do hope she can get ten times the money she lost with this book. I also hope others will stand up and fight if they are in abusive relationships. I also love her lawyer. I hope that women helps a lot more victims of abuse and is rewarded for her hard work.But who did the editing? The extra spaces and misspellings, there is one word that is spelt as “unshing”. Not sure what that was supposed to be. Oh well that isn’t on the author, right?

This is an excellent beginner and intermediate book on leathercrafting. I only have one disagreement with one of the sections (see below).It is a glossy 8-1/2" x 11" book with very clear color photos of everything. I believe it is also available in a lay-flat spiral bound version. The topics covered includethe following:-Types of leather-Cutting leather-Tool, glues, lacing &thread-Dyes, finishes, waxes, conditioners-Laying out designs & using patterns for carving-Carving the design and stamping designs-Setting snaps and rivets-Stitching, sewing, lacing-Going through all the techniques again on two projects:-1. A fancy dyed belt with stamped design and silver conchos2. A fancy case for business cards with stamped design and stitchingA quibble: I do have have one disagreement with the book on the the section about using neatsfoot oil for un-dyed leather projects. Most leathercrafters rarely use it on new leather for several reasons.100% pure neatsfoot oil (not the lower-quality "neatsfoot oil compound") is best used only to restore dried out leather (which happens over time) so it is softer and more flexible. For new un-dyed leather, neatsfoot oil is not the best leather conditioner or preservative. The author shows dipping a nice un-dyed holster in a bucket of neatsfoot oil. On anything but very dry, thick leather, this can cause a limp, oily-looking, darkened leathercraft project. I have seen the appearance of some beautiful new leather projects ruined this way. And any adhesive bond or non-synthetic thread stitching you have on the item may come apart or loosen over time due to the absorbed neatsfoot oil.Today there are much better leather conditioners and preservatives that will allow un-dyed leather to stay much firmer than with neatsfoot oil and protect it from moisture and drying. (Many contain beeswax, which was a traditional leather preservative.) Search on Amazon for "leather conditioner" or "leather preservative" and read the reviews. Follow the instructions carefully. Only apply it lightly and try on a test scrap first to see the effect on color and any dye you have used. Keep any leather coatings off the stitching and away from any adhesive seams to not dissolve or loosen those. There are several good leather conditioners and preservatives from companies like Lexol.To read all about leather conditioners and preservatives you can see many info pages with a Net search on-leather + "neatsfoot oil" + beeswax + preservative + soften + conditionerSo in summary, a very qood leathercraft book with the one disagreement on using neatsfoot oil on your work.

Prior to reading this book my knowledge of leathercraft was just was I did as a Boy Scout - so basically non-existent.After reading this book I feel I'd be able to complete tasks with a better understanding of the processes used to create quality looking leather projects. This book really is composed of three parts:1) Tools - it gives a paragraph or two explanation of many of the tool you may need while dabbling in this hobby/art.2) Method - This section takes you somewhat step by step through the various ways to turn a piece of leather into a functional work of art. It includes guides on staining, dying, stitching, lacing, and most importantly tooling (adding design using stamps and custom patterns)3) Execution - This section puts part 1 & 2 into practice. It gives a step by step tutorial on building a card case, and a belt. The author did a great job on this section giving a brief overview of the step without fully repeating repeating the method, although referencing the page to visit if you need additional help.Overall this book is highly recommended by me. It's approximately 200 pages, but with the great illustrations and step by step guides you can easily finish this in an evening and truly get a nice beginners level knowledge on this craft. If you were like me, wanting to see all that was involved with this craft before buying the tools, you can't go wrong picking up this book first.For reference - I purchased the kindle version and read this on my iPad Mini. In the past I've had issues with reference books with lots of illustration not being formatted well enough to make the book usable as an ebook. This book was formatted exceptionally well and I have 0 regrets about buying the eBook vs the spiral or paperback.

I've had experience tooling leather, but not in a lot of years. Recently my son took up an interest in it, so I pulled out all my old books and tools. Then I got this book (Kindle edition). After going through it, it was a great refresher for me in exactly what it says- leather tooling basics. It's also a good book for someone just beginning like my son.It covers picking the right leather for your project. It describes the tools and gives a good run down of the essential tools for leather tooling. It also describes the various finishing products like oils, stains and waxes.Then the basic techniques, how to case (moisten) the leather correctly for tooling. How to stain, dye or paint your leather. How to set rivets and use some of the hardware available for leather workers. It also explains beveling the edges, how to neatly finish edges and make your finished projects water resistant. This is all done with a lot of photographs and good explanations that cover why as well how to use the techniques. Then there are a few simple projects that use those skills.I'm very happy with this book.

Great book! I'm a total beginner looking to get into working with leather. This book walks you through necessary and popular tools, technique, and some projects. This book is filled with great photos to follow along with. I highly suggest this for any beginner leatherworker.

Everything I needed to begin leather crafting. I have purchased several book on introduction to leather crafting, but many of the other books tried to describe what this book shows. The photos in this book let me see what other books were trying to explain and now both books made sense. This is definitely the book for some one just starting in leather crafting.

I read Six Months in Sudan before South Sudan became a separate nation and the ensuing devastation that has engulfed it since. Reading this book opened my eyes into the cultural problems that faces the medical professionals who work with Doctors Without Borders. Even in the calmer setting of this book, working in an alien culture, particularly that of the third world, presents its own problems when trying to interface with the people and belief system of that culture. Maskalyk has great empathy for his Sudanese patients and goes out of his way to try to understand them. It's a good read and gives insight into the problems facing anyone working in South Sudan.

What admiration I have for these doc. If we only had more people like this, all over the world. One person can make a tremendous difference. And what a little amount of money it would cost to wipe out some of these diseases.

This book took me on a daily basis to somewhere I could never visit, facing hardships and losses that would overwhelm me. But, he did so in an honest way that forced me ,in my comfortable existence, to face and embrace the daily struggles of those in Sudan.Dr. James and his team, and some Sudanese patients felt like friends by the end of the book.

I enjoyed this story very much. Six Months in South Sudan is a tell-all account of what it is like to live and work in a humanitarian emergency. I found the book very riveting - I actually left it on a plane (ironically, on my way back from South Sudan) and re-bought the kindle version so I could finish it because I could not be left wondering how it would end! As a somewhat new aid worker myself, I could relate to this book and the situation, however I found it very informative about life in the field (providing an often sobering view of what it is really like) and the Abyei region and took with it many lessons that I myself can take to the field - as well as information about the South Sudan in general. Many thanks to Dr. Maskalyk for writing such a wonderful book!

Book in pristine condition. Written by Canadian volunteer with of his experiences as a doctor with Médecins san Frontières in Darfur. He gave a very engaging interview on CBC radio so purchased book for niece who has volunteered with NGO in Sudan.

Great personable read. Dr. Maskalyk reminds us that there is only one world (the world in Abyei and wherever you are is the same world).

The debate between infant baptism and believer-only baptism has been around for a long time. I entered the debate dogmatically espousing believer-only baptism, believing there were no good arguments on the side of infant baptism. However, after reading this short pamphlet by Bryan Chapell, I now see that there are strong biblical arguments on both sides of the debate. I think Dr. Chapell did an excellent job with this pamphlet, and I was not left with any major open questions.However, I also wanted to read the Puritans on infant baptism, and so I immediately turned to John Owen's article "Of Infant Baptism." However, John Owen is notoriously difficult to read, and I did not feel like flying solo. Fortunately, I found this short book by Lee Gatiss entitled "From Life's First Cry: John Owen on Infant Baptism and Infant Salvation." Lee Gatiss carefully walks the reader through John Owen's article step-by-step in a very helpful way. I felt that John Owen's article has his usual depth of thought but was perhaps not as carefully put together as his other writings. This is a pamphlet... not a book... dry but informative. We didn't have all of our questions answered but it was a good start..

If you want a brief, readable analysis of why Reformed churches baptize the infants of Christian parents, this is the booklet you want to read. I have found no better explanation outside a course in biblical theology. Highly recommended.

Anne of Green Gables is a wonderful classic story and it gets 5 stars. This particular printing, however, is completely unacceptable. It's as if someone typed it into a document, and printed it off--no page numbers, not titled at the top of each page, the lines don't even break properly (see photo). Purchased as a gift, thankfully with enough time to purchase a better quality copy--probably for less money! A disgrace to the publishing community.

I LOVED Anne of Green Gables as a child and own the complete hard copy of the Anne series. Initially, I was delighted to find this collection of books written by one of my all time favorite authors for only $0.99 (kindle price. What a steal!) and felt I had to get the digital copy for my kindle at once. As soon as the product was delivered to my device, I began to read it since it's been years since I've visited the darling world that L.M Montgomery created.I was very surprised to find that I kept tripping on certain sentences; the writing didn't seem as smooth as I remembered. When I got to chapter 6, I decided to compare a sentence in the digital print to my old, yellowing physical copy of Anne of Green Gables book. I realized why I had some difficulty reading my new digital copy: THERE ARE TYPOS IN THIS PRODUCT.It contains the WORST kinds of typos. There are typos in which it results in sentences that don't make sense. There are typos with the wrong pronouns in them that make it confusing for the reader to understand which character the publisher meant to write about. I am able to follow the story because I've read Anne of Green Gables more than once with my hard copy but for new readers, these typos will make this beautiful story difficult to read and at times, understand.I hope the digital copy can be fixed so that owners can enjoy L.M. Montgomery's work as it was meant to be enjoyed. I have given this two stars instead of one because of the fabulous price for kindle readers.

BUYER BEWARE! The version published by "CreateSpace" is slapdash print-on-demand garbage. I hoped an illustrated version would be good for a child, but I returned it on first inspection. Nowhere could I find evidence of thought or effort in layout to justify any price. Illustrations are small, extremely infrequent, and essentially worthless. Some shameless soul has simply taken LM Montgomery's text, which, as it is in the public domain, is freely available to anyone, and tried to make money selling it. Interested readers would be advised to download a free ebook or pay for a handsomer edition, such as the Puffin In Bloom version. We went with the Puffin in Bloom version and are much more satisfied.

This is a great book, but buying this edition which Marco Pedulla purports to have translated constitutes buying stolen property.The book was written in Englilsh, so Pedulla has translated nothing. What he has done has taken material free in the public domain and offered it on Amazon.Amazon should NOT support theft.

The illustrations are actually random pictures that are creepy since they are in the beginning when Anne meets Mathew Cuthbert so they insinuate a romance between them. And the free audiobook is click bait to set you up to download an app and give your email address to spammers. Screen shots of the "illustrations" below.

This review is of the kindle version of Anne: The Green Gables Complete Collection and does not reflect on the L.M. Montgomery text. The Anne books have always been favorites of mine. Buy the book, but get another edition! First issue: Really random pics grabbed from some art history textbook do not qualify as illustrations. They are more distracting than I would have imagined. Why didn't they leave the totally unrelated images out? Second issue: This is some new definition of complete that I am unacquainted with. This is Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea only. None of the later books are included. False advertising. A text I am being pulled out of by unnecessary distractions. There have to be better options. I am going in search of one.
